Operations Manager
Talent Search has been commissioned to recruit an Operations Manager for the Åland Sailing Club. Are you a driven, hands-on person who thrives on taking responsibility, making decisions, and getting things done? Are you familiar with the sailing and marina environment and have a genuine interest in boating and club activities? If so, this might be the role for you.

Main Responsibilities
- Be responsible for, and independently manage, the day-to-day administration of the office and operations.
- Manage invoices, membership fees, orders, and incoming inquiries.
- Coordinate practical matters related to the association's activities and facilities, such as building permits, electrical work, maintenance, and orders.
- Be responsible for the guest marina in the West Harbor.
- Collaborate with external restaurant operators and monitor restaurant operations.
- Recruit, orient, and follow up with seasonal dock attendants, as well as onboard and support sailing coaches.
- Be responsible for the club's staff and supervise them.
- Contribute to communication and foster effective coordination between the board, members, and operations.
- Take the initiative, make operational decisions, and drive projects from concept to implementation.
- Work on monitoring, developing, and planning the association's activities.
To be considered for the position
- You have experience in an independent administrative, operational, or coordinating role, preferably with personnel responsibility.
- You're used to the surroundings around sailing, boats, and the harbor and has a genuine interest in sailing.
- You are independent, driven, communicative, and proactive.
- You take the initiative, are confident in making operational decisions, and get things done.
- You find it easy to build relationships and enjoy having many points of contact.
- You are organized and able to set priorities, while also being down-to-earth and practical.
- You can switch between operational issues and strategic thinking.
- You don't have to know everything right from the start— The right attitude, commitment, and willingness to learn are key factors.
- You speak and write Swedish and English. Swedish is the working language. Knowledge of Finnish is a plus.
- You reside in, or have the opportunity to take up residence in, Åland.
About the process:
