Should we look for someone with experience in our industry?

This is a major factor when regulations are the guiding principle, such as in the automotive or medical device industries. In other cases, experience with the right manufacturing method and process type is more important than the industry itself.
Can a quality engineer also work on supplier quality?

Often, yes, but the roles are somewhat different. Supplier quality management requires more negotiation, travel, and relationship-building. We’ll help you determine whether you need a combined role or two separate ones.
