Cost Engineer

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the entire bidding process—from cost estimates and bids to the handover of awarded projects.
• Prepare cost estimates, develop competitive bids, and follow up on them in close collaboration with the client and internally.
• Identify business opportunities by monitoring the market, upcoming projects, and potential customers.
• Participate in bidding and procurement meetings and represent the company in discussions with customers.
• Be responsible for ensuring that the contract budget and project documentation are prepared prior to the start of production.
• Contribute to the development of bidding processes, cost estimation tools, and efficient work methods.
• Participate in the development of marketing plans and contribute to the company's business development.

To be considered for the role:

• +5 years of experience in preparing bids in the construction, civil engineering, or contracting industry.
• Ability to work independently, take the initiative, and see processes through from start to finish.
• A structured and meticulous approach to work, combined with a strong sense of quality and business acumen.
• The ability to build strong collaborative relationships and to naturally strike a balance between being an advisory partner and a clear setter of requirements.
• Very strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, especially Excel.
• Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Education in environmental and occupational health and safety is a plus.
