Head of Supply Chain for the Nordics
Talent Search has been commissioned to recruit a Head of Supply Chain for a company with revenue in the billions. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire supply chain within our client’s operations, from planning (S&OP) to warehousing, transportation, and operational coordination. The role carries full financial responsibility for the Supply Chain function and is part of the Nordic management team, where you’ll work closely with sales, product, commercial functions, and IT to ensure efficient and business-driven processes. We are looking for an experienced and business-driven leader in Supply Chain and Operations with a proven ability to lead change, drive operational excellence, and develop high-performing organizations. Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that support growth, profitability, and the Group’s overall objectives.
- Lead the Nordic S&OP process and be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and capacity and inventory planning.
- Take full responsibility for the Supply Chain's performance, including costs, inventory, working capital, service levels, and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage day-to-day operations in warehousing and logistics and ensure high delivery accuracy, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators related to delivery services, inventory, costs, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Lead and develop the organization, including warehouse managers, supply chain development, and external logistics partners, with a focus on performance, professional development, and strong leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, data-driven analysis, and increased automation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Collaborate across functions with sales, customer service, IT, and finance to develop an efficient and future-proof supply chain.
- Integrate sustainability into supply chain operations and contribute to the company’s ESG and CSRD goals.
To be considered for the role:
- A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, industrial economics, or a related field.
- At least 15 years of experience in senior positions within supply chain, logistics, or operations, including at least 10 years in a regional or international leadership role with responsibility for the entire value chain.
- Documented experience in driving business development, Lean, Six Sigma, automation, and efficiency initiatives with clear business results.
- Experience with S&OP, budgeting, forecasting, inventory and working capital management, and full responsibility for results.
- Experience leading large organizations and developing teams during times of change.
- A solid understanding of ERP and inventory management systems.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to translate operational improvements into increased profitability, cash flow, and customer value.
- Ability to build strong relationships and lead across functions in complex and matrix organizations.
- Experience in Nordic or international operations, as well as experience leading across national borders.
- Experience with warehouse automation, capacity planning, or major logistics transformations is an advantage.
- Fluency in spoken and written English. Knowledge of Swedish or another Nordic language is a plus.
